World Exclusive video: Time Travel Scientist Dr. Ronald Mallett, History Channel

For quite some time, Ronald Mallett has been working on plans for a time machine. This machine uses a ring laser and the theory of relativity. Mallett first argued that the ring laser would produce a limited amount of frame-dragging which might be measured experimentally, saying: In Einstein’s general theory of relativity, both matter and energy can create a gravitational field. This means that the energy of a light beam can produce a gravitational field. My current research considers both the weak and strong gravitational fields produced by a single continuously circulating unidirectional beam of light. In the weak gravitational field of a unidirectional ring laser, it is predicted that a spinning neutral particle, when placed in the ring, is dragged around by the resulting gravitational field. In a later paper, he argued that at sufficient energies, the circulating laser might produce not just frame-dragging but also closed timelike curves, allowing time travel into the past: For the strong gravitational field of a circulating cylinder of light, I have found new exact solutions of the Einstein field equations for the exterior and interior gravitational fields of the light cylinder. The exterior gravitational field is shown to contain closed timelike lines. The presence of closed timelike lines indicates the possibility of time travel into the past. This creates the foundation for a time machine based on a circulating cylinder of light. Funding for his program, now known

@timetravelexperiment It makes you think this vid, we could use the warping in space time created by the earth, and thats been spinning for bloody years.
Have you any idea how much energy or light is needed to warp space in order for this guy to do this? Or the laser he wants to use?

  2. magneto780 says:

Im a real time traveler and since this such a big deal. I’ll take a lie dector test, I pass I want your cash

  3. SASNIGHTCRAWLER says:

Hmmm, makes you think how the rich stay richer and they seem to know bloody everything..he’s made Rockafeller a fkn time machine lol

  4. SASNIGHTCRAWLER says:

This is a great video, thank you, its placed a totaly new dimention to my basic theories. Light and matter are the same thing and light can warp space. Fantastic!

Yes the loop of time is still going and from the point of switch on you can continue to go back to that switch on time…I wonder if there are any other ways to go back in time.,. Maybe finding a natural source of this experiment thats been going for millions of years in nature.we could even tap into another and hook upto the loop ?

  5. nagone11 says:

heavy concept….what would be the ethical ramifications if we could do such a thing??

  6. CJTVZ says:

Well then, how would you feel if we ARE the paralell universe and someone ELSE is the real humans. So they come over to US to mess with OUR future. PWNED

  7. CJTVZ says:

    Gradfather Parodox PWNED

  8. CJTVZ says:

This is my thinking. If one person can time travel, then everybody and anybody can time travel. Let’s just say a boy travels back or even a man. What if he went back, got a job that didn’t let him make youtube videos, therefore not letting him become lets say youtube famous. Then he doesn’t become president or something, and changes the whole worlds future, not just his own. If time travel is discovered, I can’t be used.

    @bbqcom

you have a very good point

  10. anthonymezzapelle says:

4:20 — if gravity can effect time, and light can create gravity, then light can effect time

  11. marselmarku says:

@FROSTYDEAN15 the government is what do you think area 51 is,for all this thinks..you think the going to tell anyone…

  12. marselmarku says:

@MrChevyman313 that is the only think you can think of chilling with 2pac,yes greatest rapper but come on man..how about saving the planet…

  13. UTAOUB says:

@Manifest222 : Good question! Check out his official website, and see! I’m going to do that! Thanks for the idea!

  14. UTAOUB says:

@gmobb142 So would I. In the words of Theodore Hertzl: “Will it, and it is no dream!” (He said this about creating a modern Israel — but that statement can be applied to ANYTHING!

  15. UTAOUB says:

Would studying tornados, (which create vortexes), help in understanding time-travel?

  16. UTAOUB says:

@StrategicMac People like Dr. Mallet will help to end racism forever! EVERYONE wants to go back and see dead dear ones, eventually. Yogurt was once a strange, foreign food…but now everyone loves it, & we hav mor respect 4 t peopl of the Himalayas! (Colin Powellhas said that racism was NEVER a problem for him. No — it was the probem of OTHER people, (the racists!) In the future, peopl will probably look with pity and askance on people’s racism, today…..

  17. UTAOUB says:

I can understand how creating a vortex-wormhole can change SPACE. (Like…forming a piece of flat paper into a cone.) But how can this change time?
I’m confused here. But would like to know it, very much. Can anyone explain it?????
(Thanks in advance….will be returning here to hopefully see an answer!)

  18. UTAOUB says:

@timetravelexperiment This is a CLASSIC statement! It should go into the lexicon, and be used in everyday speech! I’m going to copy it and use it whenever the opportunity presents itself! THANKS!!!!!!

  19. UTAOUB says:

@FROSTYDEAN15 One reason: Maybe the government is afraid everyone would want to go back to the 1950s — many modern conveniences, without today’s problems! (I lived then, & it wasn’t pefect….but a WHOLE LOT, AND SO MUCH better than times are now!)

  20. gmobb142 says:

its really hard to belive but id love to see it happen.

  21. Manifest222 says:

Is Dr Ronald Mallett still on the project? Or has he given up?

  22. Manifest222 says:

@JonathanClement140 HAHAHAHA. Nice bro, so true, I hate america xD Just kidding… but seriously O.o

  23. JonathanClement140 says:

@FROSTYDEAN15 Because oil is more important.

  24. StrategicMac says:

HG Wells was also a dyed in the wool racist. The real kind, not the silliness that gets called racism these days. Ironic.

  25. Valker666 says:

@BevilTex i really like that idea but whats more interesting is why then will we go back in time to places and events we already know about. What happened for us to lose that knowledge and have to go back? Makes the future sound more interesting then just high tech really :)
